Telangana Launches State Robotics Framework

To create a viable robotics ecosystem in the state, the Telangana government launched the State Robotics Framework.

The State Robotics Framework, an initiative by the Telangana government to promote the use of cutting-edge technologies, aims to establish a robust robotics ecosystem in the state. The state that aspires to lead the robotics industry intends to use robots technology in areas such as consumer robotics, healthcare, industrial automation, and agriculture.

The All India Robotics Association and the Emerging Technologies Wing of the Telangana ITE&C Department collaborated to design the new framework, according to the Telangana government. The Telangana Robotics Innovation Centre (TRIC), a separate organization tasked with implementing the Framework’s main pillars, is anticipated to be established by the state government under the new framework.

The new robotics framework not only lays out the goals for the growth of the robotics sector in the nation but also the strategies for creating a robotics park that will offer testing facilities, co-working spaces, and opportunities for co-production or manufacturing to startups on state-owned property or in collaboration with business, academia, and incubators.

In order to provide companies with the essential infrastructure, authorization help, market insights, investor connections, and mentorship support, the Telangana government also intends to launch a robotics accelerator.

The four major domains and five important pillars under the framework, according to Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, will assist develop and advance a sustainable robotics industry in Telangana.
