Former AIFF vice-president A. R. Khaleel passes away at 91

A.R. Khaleel, a former Vice-President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), has passed away at the age of 91. Khaleel had also served as the president of the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) for 28 years and held positions such as AIFF treasurer and executive committee member. He was also a member of Asian Football Confederation Standing Committees.

A.R. Khaleel, a prominent figure in Indian football administration for almost 60 years, passed away at the age of 91. Khaleel served as the President of the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) for 28 years and held various positions in the All India Football Federation (AIFF) including Vice-President, Treasurer, and Executive Committee Member.

He also served on Asian Football Confederation Standing Committees. Khaleel was not only an administrator but also a footballer, running one of Bengaluru’s traditional clubs, Jawahar Union FC. He contributed to Indian football by serving in managerial roles for various age groups of the Indian National Teams.
