5th edition of Global Ayurveda Festival to focus on health challenges
The fifth Global Ayurveda Festival (Gaf 2023) will take place in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, from December 1 to December 5. ‘Emerging Challenges in Healthcare & A Resurgent Ayurveda’ is the event’s topic. To demonstrate Ayurveda’s potential for resolving health issues, the event will bring together practitioners and stakeholders from all around the world.

12 May, Thiruvananthapuram (Ians) The fifth Global Ayurveda Festival (Gaf 2023) will take place in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, from December 1 to 5, with a focus on showcasing Ayurveda’s enormous potential to address the health challenges facing the modern world and creating a platform for international networking of Ayurveda practitioners and stakeholders.
‘Emerging Challenges in Healthcare & A Resurgent Ayurveda’ is the focus of the Gaf 2023.
7,500 delegates from 75 different nations will attend the conclave, which will bring together many eminent scientists, including Nobel laureates.
In addition to 750 poster presentations on the sidelines, over 750 research papers will be delivered at the meet’s numerous sessions.
V Muraleedharan, the chairman of the event’s organising committee and Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, said: “It is significant to note that GAF 2023 is happening in the backdrop of the Union Government making major efforts to position Ayurveda as a holistic system to address grim health challenges staring at humanity.”
The conference will also focus on how to properly promote Ayurveda in the tourism industry, which can significantly advance Kerala’s growth. According to Muraleedharan, a significant amount of the tourism industry’s revenue comes from ayurveda.
The biennial event is being organised at the Greenfield International Stadium in the state capital city by the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush, the federal government; the Kerala government; and the Ayurveda fraternity, which is represented by AMAI, AMMOI, AHMA, KISMA, ADMA, Viswa Ayurveda Parishad, and 14 other Ayurveda Associations.
Visitors to the exhibition will have a one-of-a-kind chance to learn about and engage with the Ayurvedic system of medicine, herbal products, health services, and equipment.
